What is a Meal Plan?
A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more across campus. Your Meal Plan is a combination of Meal Swipes, Pirate Meals, and either Gold or Purple Bucks, all conveniently loaded onto your 1Card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!
Do I need to buy a Meal Plan?
All On-Campus Residents are required to choose from one of our Unlimited Purple Plans. Any Commuter Student can purchase a Gold Plan or Unlimited Purple Plans. Both options are designed for the on-the-go Pirate student in mind. If you plan to dine on campus 2 or more times a week, these plans will offer the most value and convenience.
Meal Swipes
Meal Swipes give you access to both of our all-you-care-to-eat dining halls, Todd Dining Hall and West End Dining Hall.
Purple and Gold Bucks
Gold and Purple Bucks may be used at any ECU Dining location. Purple Bucks roll from Fall to Spring semester, then expire at the end of the Spring semester. Gold Bucks expire upon graduation.
What happens if my Purple Bucks are running low?
No problem! You can add Gold Bucks throughout the semester using Pirate Port or contact the Dining Office by emailing Dining@ecu.edu or calling 252-328-3663.
How do I add more Gold Bucks?
You can add more Gold Bucks anytime during the semester by using the GET Mobile App or through the GET website
Pirate Meals
Pirate Meals are pre-set combo meals that can be used at most ECU Dining retail locations on campus. Each combo comes with either an entrée+side+drink or entrée+drink. You can use up to 3 pirate meals per order. Students with Gold Commuter plans may also use one Pirate Meal for entry into Todd and West End Dining Halls.
Guest Meals
Purple Plans include 5 guest meals that can be used at either Todd or West End Dining Hall each semester.
All Guest Meals expire at the end of each semester.

Managing Your Plan
Checking your balance is easy quick, to check your Meal Swipes and Purple or Gold Bucks balance you can download and use the GET app or ask any cashier at any dining location.
Will my Meal Plan auto-renew for next semester?
Both Purple and Gold Plans will auto renew for the spring semester. If you choose to make any changes to your Meal Plan, you must contact the Dining Office by emailing Dining@ecu.edu or calling 252-328-3663.
